TEYA - JTEYA Vocational Institute Set to Launch – A New Milestone for TEYA-Juba

We are thrilled to announce that TEYA Vocational Institute has been officially commissioned on 16th February 2025. This momentous occasion is more than just a ceremonial event — it is a powerful symbol of TEYA-Juba’s ongoing commitment to empowering communities through practical education, capacity building, and sustainable development. The institute represents a significant achievement within our 2023–2025 strategic framework and is a direct response to the growing need for hands-on skills training and youth empowerment in South Sudan.

The journey toward the establishment of the Vocational Institute has been both inspiring and challenging. It is the result of tireless effort, unity of purpose, and strong partnerships among our stakeholders. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all those who played a role — directly or indirectly — in turning this vision into reality.

We, therefore, strongly encourage you to complete the process at your earliest convenience to avoid any disruptions.

Special thanks go to the Resource Mobilization Committee (RMC) for their strategic fundraising efforts and unwavering dedication, and to the General Assembly for their continuous guidance and oversight. We also thank our team of engineers and construction professionals who worked diligently on the ground to bring this project to life. Our partners, both local and international, provided crucial technical and financial support, while our well-wishers and volunteers reminded us that our mission is shared by many who believe in the power of education and community transformation.

We view this project not just as a physical structure, but as a long-term investment in the lives of South Sudanese youth and the broader community. The institute will offer training in key vocational areas including carpentry, electrical installation, tailoring, welding, plumbing, agriculture, and entrepreneurship. These skills will open doors for employment, self-reliance, and innovation — all of which are essential for rebuilding lives and livelihoods in a country emerging from years of conflict.

The commissioning of TEYA Vocational Institute marks only the beginning. As we look ahead, our focus remains on ensuring sustainability, expanding program offerings, and maintaining high standards of training that align with national and regional development goals.
