A new vocational center is set to be constructed in the TEYA Center. The center will offer a variety of training programs in high-demand fields, such as construction, healthcare, and information technology.
The center is expected to be completed in two years if the budget of $485,263.11 is reached. Once it is open, it will have the capacity to train up to 200 students or more per year.
The TEYA Leadership, said that the goal of the center is to provide skills training that will help TEYA Members find good-paying jobs when they complete. "We want to make sure that everyone in our community has the opportunity to succeed," they said.
The center will offer a variety of training programs, including:
• Construction: This program will train students to become carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other construction workers.
• Healthcare: This program will train students to become nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals.
• Information technology: This program will train students to become computer programmers, web developers, and other IT professionals.
In addition to the training programs, the center will also offer a variety of support services, such as career counseling, job placement assistance etc.
The new vocational center will be a welcome addition to the TEYA. It will provide much-needed skills training to members.
