Great Reception and welcoming back of TEYA chairman Mr. Arok Dut Arok by TEYA leadership and General Assembly at JIA after a short visit to Australia.

On Saturday, May 25, 2024, The Twic East Youth Association (TEYA) in Juba witnessed a momentous event as its leadership, along with dignitaries and TEYA's General Assembly showcased their unwavering support by turning out in large numbers at Juba International Airport (JIA) to welcome Chairman Arok Dut Arok back to South Sudan. The humble Chairman Arok Dut Arok had recently returned from a short visit to Australia, where he witnessed the inauguration of the leadership of Twic East Youth Association in Australia (TEYAA). The warm reception showcased the unity, support, and accomplishments of TEYA under the leadership of Acting Chairman Atem Khot Majok.

The chairman, accompanied by a convoy of 12 cars, made his way to the TEYA center, where hundreds of youths and council members awaited his arrival. The welcoming ceremony was a testament to the respect and admiration that Chairman Arok Dut Arok commands within the Twic East community.

Under the guidance of Acting Chairman Atem Khot Majok, TEYA has flourished as an organization dedicated to the welfare and empowerment of the Twic East community. Atem Khot Majok has been instrumental in leading TEYA's program in Juba during the bsence of the chairman.

Ms. Adut Mamer Ayach, the Chair Lady of Nyan Cit Arialbeek, has played a crucial role in advocating for gender equality and youth empowerment within TEYA as attended the reception in person with her members, The presence of Dioor Cit Arialbeek at JIA make the day so colorful, the present of Ms. Ajok Atem Wal, the head of Dioor cit Arialbeek in Bor Town was also great, and the present of Awaak Abit Deng, as the Chair Lady of Nyan Cit Arialbeek in Nimule at the JIA was also important.

Notably, over five media houses, including Liberty Media, Talkline Media, JB Production Media, Adoormedia, Zoom Media and TEYA Web content creator, were present to cover the event and capture the momentous occasion. Their presence ensured that the news of Chairman Arok Dut Arok's return and TEYA's accomplishments would reach a wider audience.

The welcoming ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished dignitaries, highlighting the importance of Chairman Arok Dut Arok's return. Members of the Twic East Community Association (TECA), led by Deputy Secretary Yong Bol Dengdit, expressed their unwavering support for TEYA and its leadership. Honorable Athieng Daau, the Head of Dioor Cit Arialbeek in Juba, and Adut Daau were also present, demonstrating solidarity and unity among Twic East leaders.

The event also witnessed the presence of Payam and sectional leaders, who acknowledged the significance of Chairman Arok Dut Arok's contributions to the community.
Twic East Artists, including the renowned Atem-Aduldul, K2, and Chol Dengpheei, added a touch of entertainment to the proceedings, captivating the audience with their performances.

Deng Chieng Achieng, the Secretary General of TEYA, served as the Master of Ceremonies for the day, skillfully managing the proceedings and ensuring a smooth flow of events. Acting Chairman Atem Khot Majok delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the achievements of TEYA under his leadership during Chairman Arok Dut Arok's absence. Atem Khot Majok also commended the formation of TEYA leadership in Nimule and Mangalla and the successful launch of the Nyan Cit Arialbeek uniform in Nyumanzi.
