Press Release on Chairman Arok Dut's visit to Australia.

This afternoon, Arok Dut Arok , chairperson of the Twic East Youth Association, left Juba for Australia and was accompanied to JIA by Deputy chairperson, Atem Khot Majok, Executive and Council members

The purpose of this trip is to attend the TEYA _ Australia new leadership inauguration ceremony, at the invitation of the outgoing Chairman, Mr Arok Garang. The said inauguration is scheduled to take place on the 6th April 2024.

While in Australia, the chairman is expected to hold meetings with different members of TEYA & TECA Australia to advocate for some pressing issues, which includes but not limited to Repatriation and resettlement of our people to their ancestor’s land as per the recent TUG resolutions.

In his absence, Deputy chairperson, Mr Atem Khot Majok, shall assume all TEYA-Juba related roles and responsibilities.

The executives engaged in discussions with the Sponsorship recipients, engaging in conversations about their academic progress, challenges faced, and future aspirations. This direct interaction allowed the executives to gain insights into the impact of the sponsorship program and identify areas where additional support may be required.
