TEYA as a community-based organization has embarked on the journey to achieve one of its goals of providing access to education.
As it was witnessed on Saturday of 24/02/2024, we have announced the first badge of TEYA Sponsorship that completed at Juba Multi-Service Training Center. These were 60 students who did their training in various fields and completed it within the duration of 3 months.
Perhaps there’s a second badge coming in on 26/02/2024 and TEYA is happy to inaugurate them as soon as they have completed the training. In addition, TEYA is offering this short course training as it waits to have its own vocational training. The vocational training center will at least scale up and accommodate a better statistical number within the community.
Today TEYA has officially announced 55 committed students who made it successfully at MTC for three months in the following fields;
1. ICT.
2. Electrical Installation.
3. Plumbing and pipe fitting.
4. AC and refrigeration.
5. Catering and bakery.
6. Auto-Machanic.
7. Hair dressing and beauty therapy.
8. Building and Construction.
9. Tailoring and fashion designs.
TEYA is thankful to the general assembly of Twic East, and its partners for the unwavering support they have bestowed upon them.
In addition, the leadership of TEYA send their sincere thanks to David Dau Achuoth who is the Executive Director at the office of the Vice President for Gender Cluster. His captive speech encouraged the students and motivated them to aim higher as they hope to contribute positively to the community as the beneficiaries of the sponsorship.
Hon. Deborah Akec, Undersecretary for the Ministry of Youth & Sports added she is happy with positive support that the TEYA is doing especially on empowering youth and women. She said that if TEYA and other community-based organizations encourage such activities then youth of South Sudan will have brighter future ahead of them and the country will keep on being better every day.
The leadership of TEYA also thanks the representative from Multi-Service Training Center and the school administration at large for accommodating beneficiaries of the TEYA Sponsorship and the well training they have offered to the students. TEYA hopes to collaborate with them furthermore as they will keep on empowering more young people and women.
Furthermore, TEYA would like to seek more productive support from the community and other organizations to uplift the goal, “better education for people.” As the saying goes, education is the key to success. TEYA will be committed to empowering young men and women in the community to achieve better education for their greater success!
